Full-time, permanent – from £40,000 per year

Are you an experienced and driven individual with a passion for Commercial Fit-out, and an experienced Site Manager, if so this could be the role for you?

Following recent company growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for a commercial fit-out Site Manager to join our dynamic team to assist us in ensuring that all our projects are managed and finished to a high standard.

Nexus are a team of industry leaders, specializing in the execution of commercial, retail, hospitality & residential projects to the highest standard, the core of these projects are high end restaurants. This is an exciting time to join Nexus as we expand our client base and our team.

The right person will join a network of professional team members and will specifically be responsible for delivering a high-end product for our client base around London on the southeast, and sometimes further afield. These projects usually range from 6-16 weeks and can be for a high street commercial chain or a top class restaurant. The site manager is an integral part of our structure and will be supported by a dedicated project manager, a project administrator and on onsite skilled operative, all who work directly with Nexus. You will work closely with the project teams to get the project over the line on time and to the high standards Nexus demand.

Desired Skills and Expertise:

A Nexus Site Manager will need to be very flexible and be willing to work days or evenings, and be willing to push that extra mile to ensure the client is left with the quality that Nexus consistently deliver. The post holder need to be experienced, solution focused and have the ability to resolve problems as they arise.

The successful candidate MUST have:

  • Commercial experience (minimum 3 years essential) ideally hotel or restaurant.
  • Strong communication skills at all levels.
  • Very strong I.T skills especially in Excel.
  • Professional & positive attitude.
  • Be able to drive and have a clean driving license.
  • Have exceptional site management skills and be able to manage contractors.
  • Be able to work as part of a team and manage a team.
  • Have good communication skills, verbal and written.
  • Have a good level of common sense and be able to work to health & safety regulations.
  • Be able to think on their feet and know when to ask for support.
  • Able to use own initiative.
  • Able to work to deadlines.
  • Willing to work in the nexus way always demonstrating a professional image.

The post holder will be required to work full time hours, Monday to Friday, however will be required to be flexible in line with the business needs to ensure that project handover dates are met.
