We’re pleased to have been part of the renovation of Sam’s Waterside, located in Brentford. The project has now achieved an award in the Interior Design Restaurant Brasserie category at this year’s Liv Hospitality Design Awards.
Alongside interior designers Design LSM, we worked as the lead construction company on the project.
The restaurant’s interior embodies an evolution of Sam’s well-respected sister site, Sam’s Riverside, an original, much-loved concept. We spent time to get to know the Riverside site as well as the project requirements:
– Juxtaposition between old and new
– Celebration of historical industrial architecture
– Incorporate the local area
This specific category pays homage to restaurants that excel in capturing a classic essence. Brasseries are known for their relaxed ambience while emphasising the creation of social space.
To do this within the project, interior specialists Design LSM included a variety of delicate design features including blush pink seating, art deco lighting and dried foliage. This was then contrasted with oxidised steel, raw concrete and rustic plaster.
Nexus’ team of expert project managers were responsible for the selection and installation of each element of the fit-out process. Our team has worked on hundreds of fit-outs within this sector including extensive furniture, bars, panelling and more types of finishes.
